When selecting a user id, we advise the following:

- Select a user id that will be easy for you to remember, such as your first initial and your last name, or part of your last name, or perhaps your dairy name.
- Special characters (such as ', @, &, etc.) and spaces cannot be used in the user id.
- Specify all user id characters in the same case, either all lower case or all upper case letters.
When selecting a password, we advise the following:
- There is a 10 character limit for passwords.
- The password may contain any combination of letters and numbers.
- A secure password should not contain your user id or anyone's name, either forwards or reversed.
- A secure password should not contain any string of characters associated with you (your license plate, your telephone number etc.), either forwards or reversed.
- A secure password is not a word that can be found in any dictionary (English, French, Spanish, biographical, specialized, etc.), either forwards or reverse.
